The Other Side of the Fence
If you want to know how bad things really are in the world of education policy take a look at the Obama administration’s “listening tour” featuring the brain trust of educational All-Stars: Arne Duncan, Newt Gingrich and Al Sharpton.
Only in 21st America can the executive branch set up a listening tour that doesn’t actually listen to anyone. Listening tours now mean staged events for cameras and giving a series of speeches devoid of empirical grounding.
